Treatments & Support
Community Psychiatry Services
Accessible mental health support for the community, including suicide prevention, de-addiction care, and rehabilitation for severe mental illness.
Supporting Mental WellnessCommunity Psychiatry Services
Community psychiatry looks beyond the individual clinic visit to the broader conditions that shape mental health, access to care, social support, and early awareness, especially for people who are vulnerable or at risk. Our work in this area covers mental health education, addiction recovery support, suicide prevention, and outreach for people who might not otherwise seek help on their own.
Community Psychiatry Key Services
Our community psychiatry services cover a range of essential mental health supports:
- Suicide Prevention: Crisis intervention and counselling aimed at reducing suicide risk within the community.
- De-addiction Psychiatry: Support for people struggling with substance use, including therapy and structured rehabilitation programs.
- Mental Health Rehabilitation: Programs to help people recovering from severe mental health episodes rebuild daily functioning and reintegrate into society.
- Support for Mental Illnesses: Ongoing care for conditions like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).
- Community-Based Mental Health Programs: Education initiatives aimed at reducing stigma and improving public understanding of mental health.
Targeted Interventions & Rehabilitation
Beyond general services, we offer more targeted support for specific situations:
- De-addiction Support: Structured programs to help people overcome addiction and rebuild day-to-day life.
- Rehabilitation Psychiatry: Care for people recovering from a mental health crisis, focused on both personal and social recovery.
- Therapeutic Support for Mental Illness: Ongoing therapy for managing conditions such as bipolar disorder, dementia, and schizophrenia.
- Family and Community Involvement: Bringing family and community members into the recovery process, since recovery rarely happens in isolation.
Benefits of Community Psychiatry
- Easier access to mental health services closer to where people live
- Reduced stigma around seeking mental health care
- Earlier intervention, before a crisis develops
- Care shaped around both individual and community needs
- Support for reintegrating people back into their communities after treatment
Our community psychiatry team works with local organisations, schools, and families, since lasting mental health support depends on more than clinic visits alone.

Our Community Psychiatry Team
Our community psychiatry team is made up of psychiatrists, therapists, and counsellors working together to offer therapeutic support, crisis intervention, and preventive care, so people in the community have somewhere to turn before a situation becomes a crisis.
We take a collaborative approach, involving families, caregivers, and community stakeholders in the healing process to build a support network that holds up after treatment ends.
